Name tag
For this project I folded a paper in half to create a name tag. On the inside I filled it with inspiration for the front. The front has a dark blue background with my name filled with various designs outlined by a bright yellow border. There are mountains on the bottom because I do a lot of activities in the mountains and I wanted to add that into my name tag. |
Draw a Box Exercises
This project was drawing boxes, circles, and lines in different perspectives and forms. Drawing these shapes helps your hand eye coordination when drawing. |

Mandala
This drawing is a drawing of a mandala. I used a variety of different shades of blue and yellow. I chose these colors because they are vibrant complementary colors and they have a lot of contrast creating an interesting piece. In the drawing I blended a dark blue and a lighter blue or a dark yellow with a lighter yellow to get different gradients that add dimension in my drawing. |
Scratchboard
I created 2 scratchboard drawings one of my other dog Charlee and one of a distorted picture of me. I traced the general shape of the image then added in the details after. By using one of the scratch tools and different pressures when scratching, I created different values and textures in the drawings. |

Portrait
This drawing is of me with one of my friends cats. I decided to use prismacolors to draw this picture and by layering the colors I created the skin color. The hardest thing for me in this drawing was drawing my mouth and stepping outside of my comfort zone and drawing myself. I didn't end up finishing this piece because it took longer than I thought to color the skin. |
